OWNER + STYLIST

Crystal has been a stylist in the Summerville area since 1994.

After working alongside other professionals for over 27 years as well as owning a salon in downtown Summerville for 13 years, Crystal opened Mercer Hair Studio in August 2021.

She enjoys training young stylists to become the best at their craft while still spending her days behind the chair with her own guests.

Crystal specializes in curly hair, blondes and smoothing treatments.

STYLIST + EDUCATION DIRECTOR

Krystal is a native of Summerville. After growing up in this beautiful town, she is now raising her family of 5 here. Krystal has worked in the beauty industry for over 23 years and has made this profession her life-long career.

Krystal enjoys sharpening her knowledge and skills with continued education on current trends and product knowledge all while passing those skills onto our younger generation of stylists. You can expect a great consultation, patience and care during your visit with Krystal

STYLIST

Megan has been a licensed stylist since 2020 and comes to us from Minnesota. Megan went to Austin Riverland Community College in Minnesota where she received her cosmetology license and her Associates in Business. She then transferred to Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato Minnesota where she completed her Bachelors in Business.

When not working with her guests in the salon, Megan can be found enjoying the weather in the Lowcountry, playing basketball or volleyball, or chilling on the beaches of Charleston.

STYLIST

As a Paul Mitchell graduate, and Summerville native, Austin joined our team in December of 2022. Some of her favorite services to offer are blonding and color services.

Fun facts about this lovely lady is that she loves horses, she is super close with her family and truly enjoys spending time with her friends! When she's not at work you can catch her horse back riding or shopping.

Her goal is to make sure each guest that sits in her chair is treated with kindness and respect! She especially enjoys blonding services and would love the opportunity to show you all you can do with your hair.

STYLIST

Mary Grace joined our team as a junior at Summerville high school while attending the cosmetology program offered through the vocational program at her high school.

She graduated high school in May of 2023 after receiving her cosmetology license in February 2023.

She completed the cosmetology program faster than any other student before her all while receiving distinguished honors in her high school classes.

When not working in the salon, Mary Grace enjoys painting, watching movies, and hanging out with her friends and family.

STYLIST

Gaby joined our team in January 2023. Once a stylist in Mexico, her native home, Gaby decided to pursue a career in the beauty industry in the states.

Gabby came to America over 22 years ago and is excited to grow her business with our amazing team. As a Kenneth Shuler Cosmetology School graduate, she enjoys all aspects of cutting, coloring and giving amazing blowouts to her guests.

Some fun facts about this lovely lady is she’s super close with her family and truly enjoys spending time with them. When she’s not at work you can catch her watching her favorite TV show, The Nanny or sipping a coffee Frappuccino from Starbucks and munching on Mexican candies.

Her goal is to make sure each guest that she assists with their beauty needs, feels happy and secure with their hairstyle!

STYLIST

Danie joined our team in April 2022 while attending the cosmetology program offered at Trident Technical College.

She graduated from Trident in October 2022.

Danie specializes in curly hair and welcomes all textures to her chair. Additionally, she excels in color, cuts, body waxing and pedicures. Danie hopes to make all of her clients feel like family when they step into the salon.

STYLIST

Tiffany Lewis joined our team as a former student of Kenneth Shuler Cosmetology School. She enjoys showcasing her expertise in the art of hair and beauty. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creativity, Tiffany strives to deliver exceptional results to every client who sits in her chair.

As a devoted mother to a lively little girl, Tiffany treasures the moments spent with her daughter outside of her salon hours. Whether it's exploring new adventures together or simply enjoying quality time at home, family remains at the heart of everything she does.

In her downtime, Tiffany indulges in her love for flavorful beverages, often treating herself to an iced white chocolate mocha from Dunkin' or Starbucks. When she's not at the salon or embracing motherhood, Tiffany finds solace in the company of her friends, relishing in laughter and shared experiences.

With her dedication to her craft, commitment to her family, and vibrant personality, Tiffany Lewis brings warmth and expertise to the Mercer Hair Studio team, enriching the salon experience for clients and colleagues alike.

STYLIST

Molly is a passionate stylist committed to making every guest feel their absolute best. A Paul Mitchell Cosmetology graduate, Molly brings a wealth of knowledge and creativity to Mercer Hair Studio. Her experience working at Urban Nirvana and Mod Beaute Studio, combined with years in bartending, has finely honed her interpersonal skills, making her a valuable asset to our team.

Molly specializes in balayage, lived-in color, and bridal makeup, always aiming to build strong, long-lasting relationships with her clients. Her goal is to provide each guest with a unique experience, ensuring they leave the salon feeling beautiful and confident.

When she's not transforming hair, you can find Molly sipping on her favorite iced coffee with almond milk, diving into a good book, or catching up on episodes of Gilmore Girls. She dreams of visiting Ireland and traveling through Europe, and enjoys indulging in Hershey's Cookies and Crème candy while enjoying a refreshing root beer.

STYLIST

Kelsey Hulse is one of the friendly faces you’ll see at our salon—and trust us, you’ll be glad you met her! A proud graduate of Paul Mitchell, Kelsey earned her cosmetology license with a passion for bringing out the natural beauty in every guest. Her favorite part of the job? Creating gorgeous, custom color that helps people feel confident, healthy, and absolutely beautiful.

With experience from the salon Tabula Rasa, Kelsey has already sharpened her skills and built a solid foundation in guest care. She’s all about making people feel comfortable and cared for, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. Her goal? To make sure every guest leaves her chair glowing—inside and out.

Color is Kelsey’s specialty, and she’s constantly learning and growing to stay on top of the latest trends. From subtle dimension to bold, head-turning hues, she loves making each color service feel unique and personal.

STYLIST

Janet McGregor is a licensed cosmetologist with years of hands-on experience in the beauty industry. She began her career at Coleman & Jerry’s in New York, later worked independently building her own clientele, and continued refining her craft at Lee’s Salon in Tennessee. This diverse background has allowed Janet to develop a well-rounded skill set and a deep appreciation for lasting guest relationships.

Janet specializes in perms and takes great pride in ensuring every guest leaves feeling confident, cared for, and excited to return. Her approach to each appointment is rooted in consistency, attention to detail, and genuine care—resulting in happy, loyal clients who feel their very best.

Outside of the salon, Janet enjoys baking, spending time at the beach, and watching The Price Is Right. She loves carrot cake, yellow roses, gummy candy, and the occasional Diet Dr Pepper, bringing the same warmth and joy to her personal life that she shares with her guests in the salon.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

Jenna Walley is an enthusiastic and dedicated member of our team, with a background in cosmetology from Dorchester County Career School and Technology Center. Her education, combined with her passion for beauty, drives her commitment to making every guest feel their most beautiful self.

Jenna aims to be well-rounded in all aspects of cosmetology but has a special interest in hair coloring and nail care. Her goal is to ensure each client leaves feeling confident and refreshed.

Outside of the salon, Jenna enjoys paddle boarding and is a fan of Marvel movies and the TV show Grim. Her favorite treats include a Caramel Frappuccino, Pepsi, and twin worms candy. She dreams of visiting Korea one day and has bungee jumping on her bucket list. When it comes to celebrations, chocolate cake and tulips are her favorites.

Jenna's hardworking nature was honed through previous experience at Country Days Pet Resort, where she assisted in bathing dogs—a role that taught her the value of dedication and effort.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

At the heart of our salon is Kirsten Frazier—a passionate, certified cosmetologist whose artistry and dedication shine through every service she offers. Trained at Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, Kirsten mastered a diverse range of skills, from silk presses and Keratin treatments to vibrant fashion colors, precision cuts for men and women, perms, waxing, facials, and full nail care. Her well-rounded expertise is matched only by her commitment to continual learning and growth in her craft.

Kirsten believes that beauty starts with connection. Her goal with every guest is to build trust, listen intentionally, and enhance each client’s natural features. Her chair is more than a place for transformation—it’s a space where confidence is nurtured and individuality is celebrated.

While she loves all aspects of cosmetology, Kirsten’s true passion lies in color—especially fashion-forward hues and color correction. She specializes in creating bold, beautiful palettes and flawless foundations that ensure long-lasting, radiant results.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

Lainey earned her cosmetology license at Trident Technical College while gaining hands-on experience right here at Mercer Hair Studio. Since day one, she’s been immersed in salon life, learning the ropes from our talented team and growing into a confident, creative stylist.

Lainey’s goal with every guest is simple but meaningful—to make you feel seen, welcomed, and more confident than when you walked in. She’s passionate about blonding, lived-in color, and men’s cuts, and is always looking to grow in her craft.

When she’s not behind the chair or in class, you’ll find Lainey sipping a pink drink from Starbucks, binge-watching One Tree Hill, or hanging out with friends. Her favorite movie? How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Her guilty pleasures? Diet Dr. Pepper, Reese’s, and dreaming of meeting Justin Bieber (still on her bucket list!).

Whether you’re looking for a bold new blonding transformation or a fresh men’s cut, Lainey brings a warm, friendly energy and a desire to help you feel your absolute best.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

Paige Geroulis is a proud graduate of Kenneth Shuler School of Cosmetology, where she gained extensive hands-on experience working with diverse hair types and mastering a variety of services tailored to each client’s unique needs. Her time at Kenneth Shuler, along with experience at Twisted Sugar, helped build a strong foundation in both technical skill and guest care.

Paige’s goal with every guest is to create a personalized experience that brings their vision to life—whether it’s a bold transformation or a subtle refresh. She has a strong passion for hair color and is on a journey to specialize in custom color techniques that help her clients feel confident and radiant.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

Morgan Cardoze is an aspiring cosmetologist currently studying at Trident Technical College, where she is dedicated to mastering her craft and building a strong foundation in the beauty industry. Morgan brings a unique blend of life experience, professionalism, and genuine care to every client interaction.

Morgan’s goal with every guest is simple: learn something new, apply it with intention, and continuously grow. Whether she’s shadowing, assisting, or taking the lead, she approaches each opportunity with curiosity, dedication, and heart. She is especially passionate about bridal hairstyling and fine-hair styling. Morgan hopes to specialize in helping women experiencing hair loss feel confident, supported, and beautiful.

ASSOCIATE STYLIST

Ellie DeVivo is currently studying cosmetology at Trident Technical College and is passionate about beginning her career in the beauty industry.

Ellie is enthusiastic and eager to learn from experienced stylists as she continues to grow her skills. Her goal is to make every guest feel confident, comfortable, and truly cared for. She’s especially interested in specializing in extensions and blonding services as she develops her craft.

Outside of the salon, Ellie enjoys working out, crafting, and dreaming about a future trip to Greece. She loves a Strawberry Açaí Refresher with lemonade, Sour Patch Kids, cheesecake, and tulips—and one day hopes to run a marathon.

OPERATIONS MANAGER

Meet Chelsea Fulton, the powerhouse behind the scenes at Mercer Hair Studio! As Operations Manager, Chelsea plays a key role in streamlining processes, supporting the team, and making sure everything runs smoothly—so your experience is seamless from start to finish.

Chelsea is a proud graduate of Appalachian State University, holding a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations and Sociology. With a background in technical communications, project management, and supervisory leadership, she brings a strategic and thoughtful approach to her role. Her previous experience includes roles at Lowe's Home Improvement and a decade as a senior technical writer for a global cybersecurity company—all of which have shaped her ability to optimize operations and enhance team communication.

SALON COORDINATOR

Linda has always had a knack for teaching and creativity—early on, she even taught mannequin modeling to high school girls, helping them showcase clothes in Penny’s store windows on Saturday mornings. She brings that same mix of dedication and fun into everything she does, both personally and professionally.

Always up for an adventure, Linda learned to ride a motorcycle at 48 and bought her very first pair of jeans to go with it. She’s lived through unique life experiences, from moving into a house without plumbing as a teenager to traveling across 49 states and 20 countries. Engaged at just 16, Linda’s story is full of resilience, curiosity, and a love for embracing life’s many journeys.

SALON COORDINATOR

Chrissty Harter brings valuable experience as a retired cosmetologist, offering a strong foundation in guest care and an eye for detail. Her goal with every guest is to create a warm, welcoming experience that leaves them smiling. Known for her positive energy, Chrissty proudly specializes in fostering happiness and comfort in every interaction.

Outside of work, she enjoys reading and spending time in the sun by the beach, pool, or lake. She loves a White Mocha from Starbucks, has a soft spot for Reese’s cups, and counts Sweet Home Alabama among her favorite films. Ireland tops her travel wish list, and she dreams of exploring more countries in the future.

SALON COORDINATOR

Stephanie Bednarz brings an impressive academic foundation and more than two decades of federal service to the team. She holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Social Work from Monmouth University, as well as a Master’s in Logistics Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. Her 24 years as a federal employee have equipped her with extensive computer expertise, strong organizational skills, and a deep commitment to serving others.

Stephanie’s natural passion for helping people makes her a valuable asset to the guest experience. Her goal with every guest is to ensure they feel welcomed, valued, and cared for from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. She focuses on creating an environment where each person enjoys the best possible experience.
